The Petterssonspåret Trail starts at the Uppvallen Spårcentral (trail hub) and circles around the ridge known as Kvarnåsen. The upper section of Petterssonspåret runs through wonderfully beautiful open terrain above the alpine tree line, while the lower section is more sheltered by forest
Starting at the parking area on Uppvallsvägen near the Uppvallen Spårcentral (trail hub), the trail circles and climbs up Kvarnåsen. There are connections to the Hovärksspåret Trail, Byspåret Trail, as well as the upper and lower Stråldalsleden Trails. This trail offers a bit of everything: sheltered, hilly skiing on the southern side of Kvarnåsen; challenging uphill sections towards the summit of Kvarnåsen; and exhilarating downhill slopes in open terrain above the alpine tree line, leading to the wind shelter where Hovärksspåret connects. Many consider this the most fun and varied trail in Lofsdalen.

- Recommended skiing direction is clockwise.
- A varied trail with sheltered forest sections and steep climbs into the open terrain above the alpine tree line of Kvarnåsen ridge.
- Sensitive to drifting snow and strong winds in open terrain.
- Connection to Byspåret Trail at the Uppvallen parking area near Uppvallens Fäbod mountain pasture.
- Connection to the lower Stråldalsleden Trail at the Lavskrikan wind shelter.
- Connection to Hovärksspåret Trail at the Kvarnån grill hut.
