Our Grooming Machines

Lofsdalsspår uses three grooming machines and several snowmobiles to create trails and paths in Lofsdalen. The grooming machines are of the Prinoth brand, technically advanced, and two are equipped for laying classic ski tracks.

Good machines are essential for Lofsdalsspår. Maintaining an extensive system of snowmobile trails and ski tracks with just four people and only 24 hours in a day is a constant race against the clock, balancing risks and benefits in machine usage that places heavy strain on mechanics and hydraulics. Countless hours of maintenance are carried out in our small workshop. Having a workshop itself is a blessing; it was less than 20 years ago that we had to work outside to do repairs. The fact that Lofsdalsspår now has the resources for its own facilities and can invest in and maintain a fleet of machines is largely thanks to the snowmobilers and skiers who support us by purchasing trail passes and track badges. When everyone helps, the operation improves, and the quality of trails and tracks remains high.
