The Hovärksspåret Trail runs from the parking lot at the top of Hovärksvägen to the grill hut on the eastern side of Kvarnåsen. It is a hilly and challenging trail with beautiful views over the valley, especially in good weather.
The upper section of the Hovärksspåret Trail runs through wonderfully beautiful open terrain on the fell, above the tree line. Its lower section is more sheltered by the forest.
Access is also possible where the trail crosses Uppvallsvägen (a road). From the parking lot at Hovärken, touring trails lead to Solgropen and further west on the mountain. If there are strong winds and fresh snow or dry snow, the classic track on the Hovärksspåret Trail can drift over fairly quickly.
- Length: 3, 5, 8 km.
- A children’s loop is available at 300 meters near the Hovärken parking lot.
- Suitable for intermediate or advanced skiers. Some hills.
- Recommended direction is clockwise.
- Mostly open terrain with fantastic views.
- Sensitive to drifting snow and strong winds.
- Starts at the Hovärken parking lot.
- Connects to the Stråldalen Trail at the Hovärken parking lot.
- Connects to the Petterssonspåret Trail at Kvarnån.
- A grill hut is available at the connection to the Petterssonspåret Trail.
